Job Summary

The Interbank Trader will be responsible for managing & executing trades in the FX Spot, Swap and Interest Rate products. This will also include developing trading strategies and contributing to the overall profitability of the Trading desk. This also involves analyzing market trends and risks associated with various markets.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage trades in real-time, ensuring optimal pricing and risk management.
  • Develop and implement trading strategies specific to market conditions and client needs.
  • Monitor & analyse market trends, economic indicators, financial news, and geopolitical events to inform trading decisions.
  • Collaborate with other traders and analysts to share market insights and improve trading performance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions and relevant financial news.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, and other market participants to enhance trading opportunities.
  • Use trading platforms and tools to execute trades and track market movements effectively.
  • Prepare regular reports on trading activities, performance metrics, and market analysis for management.
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements and internal policies regarding trading practices.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • PKMC certified with FMAM.
  • Proven experience as an Interbank trader, preferably in FX Spot, Swap and Interest Rates trading or similar roles.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a deep understanding of financial markets.
  • Proficiency in trading platforms and financial analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make quick, informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles and the ability to apply them effectively.
