Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Stakeholders to review and validate user stories for various payment and channel functionalities (e.g. fund transfer, collections, bulk payment, H2H, API, mobile/Web ebanking).
  • Knowledge of industry best-practices for relevant domains to review user stories to ensure user stories are clearly written, complete, testable, and aligned with business requirements and customer needs.
  • Work closely with Agile squads (developers, testers, UI/UX designers) to clarify requirements and address story gaps.
  • Participate in Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Weekly Stand-ups, and Sprint Reviews.
  • Document workflows, edge cases, and business rules for payments and digital channels.
  • Provide support for UAT (User Acceptance Testing), including preparation of test scenarios and validation of outcomes.
  • Stay informed on regulatory guidelines (e.g. MAS, SWIFT, JFSA) relevant to banking transactions.
  • Assist with gap analysis, impact assessment, and readiness documentation during rollout phases.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 7~10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in digital banking or transaction banking projects.
  • Strong understanding of payment products (e.g. domestic transfers, cross-border payments, GIRO, RTGS, SWIFT, ACH).
  • Familiar with eBanking channels, including Web, Mobile, SWIFT, Host-to-Host, and API interfaces.
  • Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to dissect complex requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in regulatory payment compliance (e.g. AML, sanctions, MAS guidelines).
  • Familiarity with Agile tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence).
  • Experience in writing BRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience in eBanking system replacement projects.
