This is the strategic role to develop and manage relationships with the top-tier Japanese and Korean corporate banking customers and to generate mutually beneficial business opportunities for both customers and the Bank.
Job Responsibilities
- Leads the formulation of actionable plans to enhance business performance, while overseeing administrative and management functions.
- Develops and executes targeted strategies to maximize the efficient use of group resources, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and driving continuous improvement across operations
- Responsible for overseeing the money lending business and driving deposit growth, while also facilitating domestic and foreign exchange transactions and managing related operational tasks.
- Implements rigorous profit management practices to ensure financial stability and drive sustainable growth. Actively identifies and executes strategies to enhance profitability, optimize resource utilization, and align financial outcomes with business objectives
- Promote good relationship with customers or other business connections, and strive to establish foundations for achieving higher performance
- Fosters a positive and collaborative work environment by strengthening workplace relationships and actively promoting team morale
- Responsible for establishing and promoting a bank-wide cooperative business framework, while overseeing and continuously improving the office’s overall administrative functions to ensure operational efficiency and alignment with strategic goals.
Job Requirements
- Graduate degree from university
- At least 5-7 years of experience of relevant experience in corporate banking space
- Exhibits strategic and creative thinking to define clear goals, set priorities, and establish performance benchmarks. Applies analytical rigor to derive Pareto-optimal solutions that balance profitability with resource efficiency, while driving sustainable business growth and operational effectiveness
- Demonstrates the ability to manage change effectively while building and nurturing strong relationships across all levels of the organization to support collaboration and drive successful outcomes.
- Strong numerical and financial skills with the ability to interpret financial information and able to design and use financial models
- Demonstrates strong planning and organizational capabilities, effective time management, and an analytical mindset to support efficient process implementation and operational excellence
- Fosters a compliance-first culture within the team, ensuring consistent adherence to established risk and regulatory frameworks in all aspects of operations
- Demonstrates deep expertise in the bank’s risk landscape and regulatory framework, with a strong appreciation of the inherent risks involved in achieving business objectives. Ensures informed decision-making and robust compliance across all operational activities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese is a must as this individual will engage Japanese corporate clients, delivering presentations, preparing reports, and interpreting financial statements in Japanese
