Job Responsibilities

Build and grow the Global Markets solution business

  • Originate interest rate and FX solutions for clients working closely with internal product partners that combine aspects of financing and hedging.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the Global Markets solutions business.
  • Work closely with the coverage team to understand client needs and offer appropriate solutions.

Strategic Growth & Market Analysis

  • Implement strategies and initiatives to grow the Global Markets business and enhance market shares in FX and derivatives products.
  • Proactively analyse the evolving market trends, regulatory changes and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities.

Collaboration & Execution

  • Work closely with trading, structuring and global market teams across multiple locations to develop and deliver bespoke solutions.
  • Partner with internal product teams and group companies (e.g. SMBC Nikko Securities) to provide holistic financing and hedging solutions.
  • Support the operation of the team by assisting other team members

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Bacherlor’s degree in finance, economics or busi
  • Bacherlor’s degree in finance, economics or business administration or a related field
  • 7 years+ of relevant sales or structuring experience in FICC derivatives and structured solutions.
  • Understanding of corporates and FIs needs, with the ability to design and execute solutions that integrate financing and hedging strategies.
  • Experience in bespoke derivative transactions with corporate and FI clients
  • Knowledgeable about the onboarding and documentation requirements for global market transactions
  • Strong analytical skills and financial modelling expertise
  • Ability to establish a strong network internally and externally, and work closely with coverage teams to identify and understand client needs
  • Knowledge in regional regulatory structures and policies
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for trade modelling, Word, and PowerPoint for client presentations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent command of English language. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and client requests simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated commercial awareness and eagerness to learn about market developments and product innovations
