The primary responsibility of this role is to promote and to lead the Securitisation (SSG) business in APAC (excluding Australia) including marketing origination and new project development, in conjunction with relevant relationship managers to achieve SSG’s target/goal. This position will require not only detailed credit and financial analysis of secrutitization transactions but also required to have necessary client and market network in the APAC region to achieve SSG’s target/goal. The position will lead the marketing activities of the APAC(excluding Australia) region. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Reviewing or preparing term sheets, transaction documents, internal funding documents, SPV resolutions and other corporate documents, presentation materials, internal memorandums.
  • Support transaction management or execution of securitisation and other structured finance transactions within the Group’s remit, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Legal structuring for new transactions, products and business lines.
  • Liaising with bank internal Legal & Compliance Department and external law firms on transactions, SPV corporate governance, Group compliance matters, internal procedures, document reviews.                                
  • Research, evaluate and advise on laws, regulations, bank rules and compliance requirements relating to transactions, new and existing business lines and other group activities.
  • Support other strategic initiatives and perform other tasks as required/defined from time to time.

Job Requirements

  • Further education in finance, economics, business or accounting desirable.
  • At least 5 years’ post-qualification experience in securitisation, asset finance, structured finance, capital markets, derivatives or related areas.
  • Familiarity or exposure to ABS, RMBS, CMBS, CLOs, CLNs, CDS, repacks, synthetic structures, derivatives desirable.
  • Some in-house experience in securities firm, commercial bank, rating agency or consumer finance sector preferred.
  • Keen interest in structured finance and transitioning into Front Office role in banking.
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail; pragmatic and commercially minded.
  • Flexible, pro-active team player with can-do attitude and hunger to learn.
