The role is responsible for planning activities for non-Japanese corporate clients, with accountability for proposal quality, coordination, and execution. Key responsibilities include:

  • To plan, manage, and report on various strategic planning matters ,including  ESG related solution-based marketing initiatives, for non-Japanese corporate banking team in coordination with relationship managers across multiple Asian countries and sectors
  • To develop a system to enable RMs of both Japanese and non- Japanese corporate banking teams in Asia, mainly in APAC,  to hold ESG-related discussions with clients through workshops and the preparation of general materials, and plan how to promote such discussions
  • To update various ESG-related information through continuous communication with ESG related departments in Japan.
  • To enhance the collaboration between Japanese and Non-Japanese clients
  • To establish a good communication channel with regional corporate banking business teams inside and outside Singapore, and coordinate various initiatives, meetings or daily exercise as requested
  • To act as a central coordinator across internal stakeholders, including coverage teams , planning units, product teams, and relevant headquarters departments outside Singapore, group companies
  • To take charge of administering, managing, and improving overall administrative affairs in the office
  • To continuously monitor market, client, and peer developments within assigned countries and reflecting insights into proposal planning and execution
  • To communicate with senior internal counterparties in the relevant departments to achieve the goal
  • To provide in-office education to junior colleagues to upskill their marketing and planning skillset

 Key requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Law, Marketing, Accounting, Economics or Finance  
  • Knowledge of FIs' sustainability related activities
  • At least 6 years of experience in strategic planning for financial institutions 
  • Business fluency in both English and Japanese is essential, as this role requires the ability to write and communicate effectively with our Tokyo office
  • Excellent corporate planning skills
